Openshop is looking for a Junior Designer to join our team in New York. The role will require an independent thinker, a curious mind and a candidate with initiative. We are looking for someone who is interested in growing into a role and stepping up to exciting opportunities.

On any given day you might...

Assist designers in developing material and putting together client presentations

Ideate solutions for challenges in both the built and non-built environments

Produce simple renderings

Set up and develop architectural drawing sets

Support lead designers on deck design & delivery

Pull together interior design decks and guides
-
Order relevant samples and materials to the office

Attend in person site meetings

Takes initiative and can make complete tasks independently

Has experience creating clean and beautiful decks and visual design

Has the ability to quickly ideate and iterate

Provides regular status updates on continuing works

Is eager to learn and work with a multidisciplinary team

Has an interest in design strategy

MUST be based in NYC
You must have...
-
An interest or background in design
-
Experience - 1 - 3 years in a studio environment or similar

Autocad, basic 3D modeling - Sketchup / Rhino / 3D Max
-
Adobe - Photoshop, Illustrator or inDesign
